SkinFence Clay is shipped dry as a 3oz tub.  In powder form, the shelf life is indefinite.  Once mixed with tap water, the shelf life is 7-10 days (14 days if refrigerated.)  If witch hazel is substituted as the liquid, the shelf life is 2-3 weeks (refrigerated between uses).
 
Mix it:  Pour 1/3 of the container into a plastic or glass bowl.  Slowly add liquid and mix/stir until the clay is the consistency of pudding.  For use on damaged or super-sensitive skin, add/stir in additional liquid to achieve a consistency like pancake syrup.
 
Use it:  Wash your face, hands, or wherever you will apply the mask.  Leave skin damp for easier application.  Apply in layers a GENTLE circular motion.  Allow the mask to completely dry (10-30 minutes, dependent on many factors).  For removal, soak in warm water and gently (again) wash away.  Rinse well and apply a moisturzer within a few minutes for best results.
 
What happens when you use it:  The Clay will bond with the oils and other debris in your pores.  As the liquid evaporates, a cooling sensation will happen that will provide relief and some anti-itch properties.  As the Clay dries, you will notice a pulling on the skin that will feel like tigher skin.  After the Clay is washed off andtowel dried (no rubbing!), you will notice a distinct smoothness on the shin where the Clay was applied.
